…in response to the abduction of their dear leader, mass people from his roots grab whatever weapon they have at their disposal and proceed to faceoff with the overwhelming forces the state.

 

…with bamboo sticks and brick bats they engage the combined forces of armed police, Border Guard, Elite Military RAB in a protracted pitched battle…

 

 

…on and around a bridge and road, their leader helped build to help easy communication with the Thana HQ

 

 

… in front of collective passion and resolve of mass people of the grassroots leaders home town, state forces has to retreat, a burning government office building keeps burning like a symbol of public disapproval of an oppressive government


 

 

… at the end of the pitched battle with re-inforced armed forces of the state, the battle that lasted nearly two days, two of the protesters are dead, hundreds injured on both sides and thousands of male members are hiding away from home…

This is not the first time a political leader is abducted, killed or arested in Bangladesh. But this is possibly the first time the constituency of that leader revolted in such a way for the cause of their leader.
