“Those who want to “help” (!) the country, they have some small addiction to hunting. To sate their hunger, it is the Bishyajits who have to be the hunted deer.”

Ruling Awami League party activists chop an innocent man to death. They suspected that he was an opposition activist supporting the nationwide blockade. Recently, Home Minister has urged party activists to take over law enforcement and resist opposition activities.

In 1971 some folks supported Pakistani army kill Bangali freedom fighters and Independence loving people. 40 years later we still want revenge — we want them killed — judicially on non-judicially.
Can the two women in the picture — the family of the killed, demand the same — kill those who committed the killing and who ordered the killing and who facilitated the killing?

“When the first blow felt, blood must have spurted out. Whose face floated in front of your eyes? Your mother Kalpana Das, who used every bit of love to grow this human, born from a drop of polluted blood? Or was it father Ananta Das, who drained his own body to bring that one new shirt for a young boy’s wish? Or another loved one, who would remove the fallen hair from forehead and give a shy smile and hide? But why do we still cry when we see another Bishyajit die? Is this anything new? Bishyajits were born to die. For decades they have been dying. Those who want to “help” (!) the country, they have some small addiction to hunting. To sate their hunger, it is the Bishyajits who have to be the hunted deer. When the arrow pierces deep inside his heart, the thrill of hunt fulfills the powerful.”
“He had a tailor shop in Dhaka. 6 years ago Bishyajit started this tailoring business in Dhaka’s Shakhari Bazaar. Sunday while he was walking to the shop [during the hartal], a gang of men attacked him with machetes and hacked him to death… His family informed that Bishyajit was not connected with any political party.”

I wonder what the reaction (not of the post’s authour, but broader media) would have been like if someone named Biswajit Das was killed by the opposition activists.

That wouldn’t happen of course. Opposition is dhoa tulsi pata, only reacting when provoked. Ruling party though is inherently evil and blood thirsty. No-one from opposition ever lynched innocent bystandar let alone someone they had reason for not liking.
Here is a question. If oborodh hartal had not been called, this unfortunate man would still be alive. We are told there was no choice for this craziness because govt pushed oppostiion too far. Who pushed govt too far?
I don’t support this violent act. I condemn it. I am not defending govt or its goons. I am saying, let’s just remember how bad EVERYONE is without pretending one side has any moral superiority.

So called progressive liberal circle with pen, paper, blog and camera overtly and covertly supporting Awami League political and murderous acts. They had been back end strength for Awami League to commit such broad day light murder.
Today Awami League looks around and sees no support in public. But Awami League gets strength from the fact “progressive liberal” types supporting Awami League grotesque violation of court, law and never ending appetite for human flash with their silence and back end association. To that end this “progressive liberal” class cannot wash their hand from blood Awami League had been drawing. Look how vanguard of “progressive liberal” class Daily Star/Prothom Alo try to frame the broad day light Awami League savage – “Biswajit was in wrong place at wrong time”.
Most important question we should ask, can Bangladesh make any progress with these Awami terror ideologues in their mask, acting as usual?

What Can I Say?
Bisshojit what can I say? Should I say sorry? Am I? Are We? Are you all out there? We are all comfortably numb Bissojit. You are just another body bag in the great cause of Democracy. Cmon you were nothing but a poor dorji (a tailor); you never even heard about Savile Row or had any idea what I am talking about right? We could have had some sympathy perhaps towards you, had you
been a member of that prestigious shop. Hey you were a pedestrian, a common public who was just a casualty of war. The war of the Roses hmm? Within next 48 hours we will successfully forget you. We are relived that it never happened in our backyard. It happened in the old part of the city far from the city’s most happening place. Its good that you are dead now man if you could have survived you would have doubly crucified by the medical system of our great nation and would have ended after prolonged suffering.
Bissojit when I saw you getting hacked alive on the TV yesterday, I could not stand I fall flat on the chair. My little boy who saw the news with me was asking me was it a movie or was it really happening in Bangladesh. Bissojit, Life which Allah has given us all is so cheap so cheap so cheap.
I am disturbed while I am writing this I wont be may be after 24 hrs. We have mutated like some bizarre animal in this city where Love has left us with your death Bissojit.
Bissojit so long. May Allah grant you his Rahmat. We all soon will be joining you. Till then, its hard, I know but try to forgive our smallness, our numbness and the brutality.

I wonder whether such pictures should be circulated. Lynch mobs are all-too-common in Bangladesh. The cycle of violence must end.

I guess the official response from our government will be “It is all Bishyajit’s fault. He was at the wrong place at the wrong time”. No responsibility on the Home Minister’s part who exhorted the BCL activists only a few weeks ago to take the law into their own hands.

We want a exemplary punishment for this.
